Possible Causes
Stuck bucket float, Faulty bucket full micro-switch, Misaligned bucket not engaging switch, Broken switch lever, Wiring fault to PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before working in the bucket compartment.
- Remove and reseat bucket: Take out the bucket and reinstall it firmly, ensuring it is fully inserted.
- Inspect float mechanism: Look for a plastic float or lever that moves when the bucket fills. Ensure it moves freely and is not jammed by dirt or scale.
- Clean float and switch area: Wipe away any buildup that could prevent proper movement.
- Test switch manually: With the unit unplugged and bucket removed, gently press the bucket switch lever. You should hear a click. If not, the switch may be defective.
- Replace switch: If the switch does not click or tests open/closed incorrectly with a multimeter, replace the bucket full switch assembly.
