Possible Causes
Internal pump motor failure, Pump float switch stuck or failed, Blocked pump discharge line, Pump wiring harness issue, Pump control circuit failure on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit and keep the area dry.
- Check for standing water: Remove the bucket and inspect the internal pump tray. If it is full of water, the pump is not evacuating properly.
- Inspect and clean float: Locate the pump float and ensure it moves freely. Clean away slime, scale, or debris.
- Clear discharge hose: Disconnect the pump hose and flush it with water. Remove any clogs and ensure there are no kinks.
- Test pump: With the unit reassembled, run it in pump mode and listen for the pump motor. If it does not run when the tray is full, the pump assembly may be defective.
- Replace pump assembly: Replace the internal pump assembly if the motor or float switch has failed. If a new pump does not clear F4, the PCB pump control circuit may be faulty.
