- Clean bucket: Wash the water bucket with warm soapy water and a small amount of bleach. Rinse thoroughly.
- Clean filter: Wash or replace the air filter according to the manual.
- Clean coils and drain pan: Remove the cover and gently clean the evaporator coil and drain pan with a coil-safe cleaner or a mild solution of water and vinegar. Do not soak electrical components.
- Dry thoroughly: Allow the unit to dry completely before reassembly and use.
- Prevent recurrence: Run the unit regularly, empty the bucket often, and store it dry when not in use.
