Possible Causes
Loose fan shroud or screws, Fan blade hitting housing, Loose compressor mounting grommets, Vibrating plastic panels
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before tightening any screws or touching internal parts.
- Check placement: Ensure the dehumidifier is on a level, solid surface. Avoid hollow or wobbly floors.
- Tighten exterior screws: Inspect and tighten all accessible cabinet screws, especially around the fan and compressor area.
- Inspect fan blade: Remove the cover and check that the fan blade is not cracked or rubbing against the shroud. Adjust or replace if damaged.
- Compressor mounts: Verify that the rubber grommets under the compressor are intact and that the mounting bolts are snug but not overtightened.
- Panel damping: If plastic panels vibrate, add thin foam tape between contact points to reduce noise.
