Possible Causes
Water bucket actually full, Misaligned bucket not engaging switch, Stuck float switch, Faulty bucket full switch, Blocked drain hose causing backup into bucket
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before removing the bucket to avoid spills near live electrical parts.
- Empty the bucket: Carefully remove the water bucket and empty it completely. Rinse to remove any slime or debris.
- Check float operation: Inside the bucket or bucket cavity, locate the float mechanism. Ensure it moves freely and is not stuck in the "full" position.
- Reinstall bucket correctly: Slide the bucket back in firmly until it is fully seated and flush with the front of the unit. An improperly seated bucket will keep P2 active.
- Continuous drain setup: If using a hose, ensure the hose is not kinked or elevated above the drain outlet. A blocked hose can cause the bucket to fill and trigger P2.
- Switch inspection: If P2 remains with an empty, properly seated bucket, inspect the bucket full switch and wiring. Replace the switch if it is stuck or fails continuity tests.
