Possible Causes
Empty water tank, Tank not seated correctly on base, Faulty water level sensor or float, Cracked tank not triggering valve properly
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the humidifier before removing the tank.
Steps to resolve LO:
- Refill tank: Remove the tank, fill it with clean, cool water up to the indicated maximum line, and reinstall it carefully.
- Check tank cap and valve: Inspect the tank cap and rubber valve for cracks or deformation. Ensure the valve moves freely and seals properly.
- Seat the tank correctly: Place the tank squarely on the base so the valve opens and water flows into the reservoir. You should see water level rise in the base.
- Clean float / sensor: If LO remains with a full tank, clean the float or water level sensor in the base with vinegar to remove mineral deposits.
- Replace components: If the float is damaged or the tank valve is not opening, replace the Homedics water tank or float assembly as needed.
