How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before cleaning. Avoid mixing cleaning chemicals.
Deep cleaning steps:
- Empty and rinse: Empty the tank and base completely. Rinse with warm water.
- Disinfect tank: Fill the tank with a solution of 1 teaspoon of unscented household bleach per gallon of water. Let sit for 20 minutes, then rinse thoroughly until no bleach smell remains.
- Clean base and mist path: Wipe the base, reservoir, and mist outlet with a solution of white vinegar and water to remove slime and scale. Use a soft brush for corners.
- Dry completely: Allow all parts to air dry before reassembly.
- Maintenance: Repeat cleaning weekly during heavy use and always empty the tank if the unit will sit unused for more than a day.
