Safety: Unplug the unit before cleaning. Avoid mixing cleaning chemicals.

Deep cleaning steps:

  • Empty and rinse: Empty the tank and base completely. Rinse with warm water.
  • Disinfect tank: Fill the tank with a solution of 1 teaspoon of unscented household bleach per gallon of water. Let sit for 20 minutes, then rinse thoroughly until no bleach smell remains.
  • Clean base and mist path: Wipe the base, reservoir, and mist outlet with a solution of white vinegar and water to remove slime and scale. Use a soft brush for corners.
