Safety: Unplug the unit. Do not operate the compressor without a functioning fan; this can cause overheating.

Steps:

Spin test: With power off, try spinning the fan blade by hand. If it is stiff or does not spin freely, the motor or bearings are failed.
Inspect fan blade: Check for broken or obstructed blades; replace if damaged.
Voltage test: If you are qualified, apply power and test for voltage at the fan motor leads when the unit is calling for fan operation. If voltage is present but the motor does not run, replace the fan motor.
Control board: If no voltage is present at the motor and wiring is intact, the fan relay or control board may be defective and require replacement.

Note: Always replace the fan motor with a Honeywell‑specified part to ensure correct airflow and noise levels.
