Safety: Unplug the unit before tightening or adjusting parts.

Steps:

Check placement: Ensure the unit is on a level, solid surface. Avoid hollow wooden floors that can amplify vibration.
Tighten panels: Inspect and tighten any loose screws on the cabinet and handle assemblies.
Inspect fan assembly: Remove the rear cover and check that the fan blade or blower wheel is firmly attached to the motor shaft. Tighten set screws or replace the fan if cracked.
Check motor bearings: Spin the fan by hand; if it feels rough or wobbly, replace the fan motor assembly.
Compressor mounts: Verify the rubber grommets under the compressor are intact. Replace if hardened or broken.

Tip: Adding thin foam strips between vibrating panels can reduce residual rattles after mechanical issues are corrected.

Dehumidifier is very noisy during operation; rattling, buzzing, or grinding sounds are heard.
