Possible Causes
Bucket not seated or bucket switch open, Incorrect humidity setpoint (set too high), Child lock or timer delay active, Faulty bucket full switch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug before accessing internal switches.
Steps:
- Check bucket: Remove and firmly reinstall the water bucket. Ensure it is fully inserted and level.
- Verify settings: Set the humidity to a low value (e.g., 30–40%) and ensure any timer delay is turned off.
- Bucket switch test: Locate the bucket full switch and manually actuate it while the unit is powered (only if you are comfortable and safe doing so). If the unit starts when the switch is pressed, adjust or replace the switch.
- Inspect float mechanism: Ensure the bucket float is not stuck in the up (full) position.
Note: If all interlocks are satisfied and the unit still does not start, the control board or relay may be defective and require replacement.
