How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn the unit off and unplug before removing the filter.
Steps:
- Remove filter: Slide out the air filter from the rear or side of the unit according to the user manual.
- Clean filter: Vacuum loose dust, then wash with mild soap and lukewarm water. Rinse thoroughly and allow to dry completely before reinstalling.
- Clean grilles: Wipe down intake and exhaust grilles to remove dust buildup.
- Reset indicator: Press and hold the filter reset or timer button (varies by model) for 3–5 seconds until CF clears from the display.
Note: CF is not a fault code; it is a reminder. Regular filter cleaning improves efficiency and prevents other error codes.
