Dehumidifier bucket overflows even though the unit should shut off when full

Safety: Unplug the unit and mop up any spilled water to prevent slipping.

Steps:

• Inspect float: Remove the bucket and locate the float mechanism. Ensure it moves freely and is not waterlogged or broken.
• Check bucket seating: Confirm the bucket slides in fully and engages the float or magnet correctly.
• Test switch: Manually lift the float while the unit is running (with caution) to see if the unit shuts off. If it does not, the switch may be faulty.
• Replace float or switch: Install a new float assembly or bucket full switch compatible with your Insignia model.

Note: Do not rely on manual shutoff; fix the detection system to avoid water damage.
