Steps:

• Verify with external meter: Use a separate hygrometer to compare actual room humidity with the dehumidifier display.
• Clean sensor area: Access the humidity sensor near the air intake and gently blow off dust with compressed air. Do not soak with liquids.
• Check wiring: Ensure the sensor harness is intact and firmly connected to the control board.
• Replace sensor: If readings remain far off, replace the humidity sensor module with an Insignia-compatible part.
