Abnormal Water Collection Rate
Dehumidifier tank fills too quickly or not at all compared to expected operation
Advertisements
Possible Causes
Extremely high or low room humidity, Blocked air filter reducing capacity, Refrigeration performance issues, Incorrect room size for unit capacity
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before cleaning.
- Check environment: Very damp spaces (e.g., after flooding) will fill the tank quickly; this can be normal. Very dry spaces will collect little water.
- Clean filter and coils: Dirty components reduce capacity. Clean as per manual.
- Verify room size: Ensure the dehumidifier’s rated capacity matches the room size. An undersized unit will run continuously with slow results.
- Performance check: If collection is abnormally low despite high humidity, follow the steps under “No Dehumidification / Poor Cooling Performance” and consider professional sealed system service.
