How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before accessing control boards.
- Access control panel: Remove the top or front cover to expose the display/control PCB. Follow the flat ribbon or multi-wire harness that connects to the main PCB.
- Reseat connectors: Disconnect the cable at both ends, inspect for bent pins or corrosion, then firmly reconnect. Ensure the cable is not pinched by the cabinet.
- Inspect cable: Look for visible cuts, kinks, or broken conductors. Replace the display-to-main PCB harness if damaged.
- Check for moisture: Any signs of water ingress around the control panel can cause communication faults. Dry the area thoroughly and correct the source of moisture (e.g., leaking top cover).
- Board replacement: If reseating and replacing the cable does not clear E6, either the display PCB or main PCB is defective. Replace the display PCB first (usually cheaper), then the main control PCB if needed. Board-level repair is best left to a technician.
