Possible Causes
Clogged internal drain channel, misaligned water bucket, cracked bucket, blocked continuous drain hose, loose hose connection at drain port
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before tilting or disassembling. Avoid spilling water into electrical components.
Steps:
- Inspect bucket: Remove the bucket and check for cracks or damage. Replace the water collection bucket if leaking.
- Clean drain channel: Locate the drain outlet inside the bucket compartment. Use a small brush or pipe cleaner to clear debris and slime from the drain hole and channel.
- Continuous drain setup: If using a hose, ensure it is firmly attached to the rear drain port, slopes downward continuously, and is not kinked or submerged in standing water.
- Level the unit: Make sure the dehumidifier is on a level surface so water flows correctly into the bucket or hose.
- Test for leaks: Reassemble, run the unit, and monitor for leaks. If water still escapes from the cabinet, inspect internal drain pan connections; a damaged drain pan or fitting may need replacement.
