Keystone
Compressor Short-Cycle Protection / Time Delay
Dehumidifier shuts off and will not restart for several minutes even though the bucket is not full.

Possible Causes
Normal anti-short-cycle timer in control board, overheated compressor, faulty overload protector, control board timing fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Note: Many Keystone dehumidifiers include a built-in delay (typically 3 minutes) before the compressor can restart to protect it from damage.
- Wait for restart: After the compressor stops, wait at least 3–5 minutes before expecting it to start again.
- Check ventilation: Ensure the unit has adequate airflow around it to prevent overheating.
- Monitor behavior: If the unit restarts normally after a short delay, this is normal operation. If it remains off for a long time or never restarts, see the "Compressor Not Starting" scenario.
