Possible Causes

Loose or damaged wire harness between user interface (display) board and main PCB, oxidized connectors, failed display/control panel board, failed main control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the dehumidifier before opening the cabinet or touching any internal wiring.

How to troubleshoot E6:

  • Power reset: Unplug for 5–10 minutes, then reconnect. If E6 reappears, continue.
  • Access control boards: Remove the front/top cover to expose the display board and the main control board (usually mounted on the side or behind the front panel).
  • Inspect harness: Locate the multi-wire harness connecting the display board to the main PCB. Check for pinched, cut, or burned wires.
  • Reseat connectors: Disconnect the harness at both ends and reconnect firmly to ensure good contact.
  • Check for corrosion or moisture: If you see signs of water intrusion on the boards, dry the area thoroughly and consider replacing the affected board.
  • Board replacement: If wiring is intact and E6 persists, either the display/control panel board or the main control board is defective. Replace the less expensive display board first; if that does not resolve it, the main board will likely need replacement.
