Possible Causes

Empty or improperly seated water tank, stuck float in water reservoir, failed water level sensor, corroded sensor contacts, damaged wiring to control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Turn off and unplug the humidifier before removing the tank.

Steps to clear F3:

  • Check water tank: Remove the tank, fill it to the proper level, and reinstall it firmly. Ensure it is oriented correctly.
  • Inspect float: In the base, locate the water level float. Make sure it moves freely up and down and is not obstructed by scale or debris.
  • Clean sensor area: Wipe away mineral deposits from the float chamber and sensor area using a soft cloth and white vinegar if needed. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
  • Check sensor wiring: If accessible, inspect the wires from the float or level sensor to the control board for damage.
  • Replace level sensor: If the float or sensor is cracked or saturated, replace the water level sensor / float assembly with a Keystone-compatible part.
