Possible Causes
Room temperature or humidity above sensor range, sensor shorted or misreading, control board calibration error
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Steps:
- Verify conditions: Use a separate thermometer/hygrometer to check actual room temperature and humidity. If they are extremely high, improve ventilation or reduce heat sources.
- Power reset: Unplug the unit for several minutes and restart.
- Inspect sensors: Check both the ambient temperature sensor and humidity sensor for damage, loose mounting, or disconnected wires.
- Replace faulty sensor: If either sensor is clearly damaged or tests out of range, replace it with the correct Keystone sensor.
- Board issue: If sensors are good and HI persists incorrectly, the main control board may be defective.
