Possible Causes
Water collection bucket full, bucket not seated correctly, stuck or failed bucket full float switch, obstructed drain hose (if continuous drain is used), faulty bucket switch wiring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn the unit off and unplug before removing the bucket.
Steps to clear P2:
- Empty the bucket: Carefully slide out the water bucket, empty it, and reinstall it fully until it clicks into place.
- Check bucket position: Ensure the bucket is not warped and that it sits flat against the internal switch lever or float mechanism.
- Inspect float and switch: Inside the bucket compartment, locate the bucket full float and the bucket full switch. Make sure the float moves freely and is not stuck by dirt or scale.
- Continuous drain users: If using a hose, confirm the hose is not kinked or clogged and that it slopes downward to a drain. A blocked hose can cause the bucket to fill and trigger P2.
- Switch test (advanced): With the unit unplugged, access the bucket full switch and check continuity with a multimeter while actuating the lever. Replace the bucket full switch if it does not change state.
