Possible Causes
Abnormal refrigerant pressure detected, Evaporator or condenser sensor out of range, Blocked airflow causing extreme temperatures, Faulty pressure or temperature sensor input on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit. Do not open or cut refrigerant lines.
- Clean filters and coils: Remove and wash the air filter. Vacuum dust from both evaporator and condenser coils.
- Check fan operation: Ensure the fan runs at full speed when the unit is on. Replace the fan motor if it is slow or intermittent.
- Inspect sensors: Verify that evaporator and condenser NTC sensors are properly attached and wiring is intact.
- Professional service: If EC persists after airflow and sensor checks, the sealed system (refrigerant charge, compressor, or pressure sensor) may be at fault. Contact a qualified refrigeration technician.
