Possible Causes
Defective onboard humidity sensor, Sensor blocked by dust or moisture, Broken sensor cable to control PCB, Faulty sensor input on main PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect the Klarstein humidifier from mains before opening the housing.
- Locate sensor: The humidity sensor is usually near the air intake or on the control PCB behind a vented section of the housing.
- Clean sensor area: Use dry compressed air or a soft brush to remove dust. Avoid spraying liquids directly on the sensor.
- Check wiring: If the sensor is on a small daughterboard, ensure its connector to the main PCB is secure and free of corrosion.
- Replace sensor module: If F4 persists, replace the humidity sensor module or the small sensor PCB with a Klarstein-compatible part.
- PCB replacement: If a new sensor does not resolve the issue, the main PCB may be defective and require replacement.
