Possible Causes
Internal pump reservoir float switch activated, Blocked condensate drain hose, Failed condensate pump, Float switch stuck in raised position
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before accessing the pump compartment.
- Check external drain: If using a hose, ensure it is not kinked, elevated too high, or blocked. Clear any obstructions and ensure proper downward slope.
- Empty internal reservoir: Some Klarstein pump models have an internal tray. Remove access panel and manually empty any standing water.
- Inspect float switch: Locate the small float in the pump reservoir. Move it up and down; it should move freely. Clean slime or debris that may cause sticking.
- Test pump: With the unit reassembled, briefly power on and listen for the pump when water is present. If silent, test the pump motor for continuity and replace if open.
