Possible Causes

Misaligned tank, Stuck float or magnet, Faulty reed switch or level sensor, Warped tank not engaging switch

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug before inspecting the tank and base.

  • Reseat tank: Remove and firmly reinstall the tank, ensuring it sits correctly and presses any mechanical levers.
  • Check float/magnet: Inspect the tank float for free movement. Clean scale or slime that may cause sticking.
  • Test reed switch: With the unit unplugged, actuate the float or magnet near the base sensor and check continuity. Replace the reed switch if it does not change state.
  • Replace tank: If the tank is deformed and cannot properly engage the sensor, replace the tank with a Klarstein original part.
