Possible Causes
Corrupted microcontroller firmware, Damaged main control board, Loose internal harness between display board and main PCB, Power surge damage to logic circuits
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before any work.
Steps:
- Hard reset: Unplug the humidifier for 15–20 minutes to fully discharge internal capacitors, then plug back in.
- Check external factors: Try a different outlet and remove any smart plugs or surge strips that might interfere with power.
- Inspect internal connections: Remove the outer housing to access the main PCB and display/control board. Check ribbon cables and harnesses for secure seating and no visible damage.
- Look for board damage: Examine the PCB for burn marks, bulging capacitors, or corrosion. Any such signs indicate the board should be replaced.
- Replace main PCB: If E6 persists and wiring is intact, replace the main control board with the correct Levoit part number. Transfer any attached sensors or wiring harnesses as needed.
