Possible Causes
Failed internal O‑ring around transducer plate, Cracked internal water channel, Loose screws on water chamber plate, Condensation dripping into electronics due to poor sealing
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit and do not operate until fully dry and repaired.
Steps:
- Disassemble base: Remove the bottom cover to access the internal water chamber and transducer plate.
- Inspect transducer plate seal: Check the rubber gasket or O‑ring around the transducer mounting plate. If flattened, cracked, or out of position, replace it and retighten the mounting screws evenly.
- Check internal channels: Look for cracks in plastic water channels or joints. Minor cracks may be sealed with food‑safe epoxy, but replacement of the base assembly is preferred.
- Dry electronics: Carefully dry the PCB and wiring with a soft cloth and allow 24 hours of air drying. Clean any corrosion with isopropyl alcohol.
- Reassemble and test: After replacing seals and ensuring everything is dry, reassemble and test for leaks with a small amount of water before full use.
