How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before opening. If you are not comfortable working with mains voltage, seek professional help.
Steps:
- External checks: Verify the wall socket works by testing another appliance. Check any extension leads or surge protectors.
- Inspect power cord: Look for cuts, kinks, or burn marks. Replace the power cord if damaged.
- Internal fuse: Remove the cover and locate the PCB fuse near the power input. Test with a multimeter and replace with the same rating if blown.
- Check power switch/control panel: Ensure the control panel cable is securely connected to the main PCB.
- PCB replacement: If the fuse is good and power is present at the board but the unit remains dead, replace the main control PCB.
