How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before working on the tank area.
Steps:
- Reinsert tank: Remove and firmly reinsert the tank, ensuring it is fully seated and flush with the cabinet.
- Check float: Inspect the tank’s internal float (if present). Make sure it moves freely and is not jammed by dirt or scale. Clean with warm soapy water.
- Inspect tank switch: Locate the tank full microswitch or reed switch inside the unit. Manually actuate it with a non-metallic tool and listen for a click.
- Test switch: Use a multimeter to check continuity when the switch is pressed/released. Replace the switch if it does not change state.
- Replace float or magnet: If the float magnet is missing or damaged, replace the tank float assembly.
