Possible Causes
Corrupted EEPROM on main PCB, Communication failure between display PCB and main PCB, Loose control panel ribbon cable, Failed main control PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before opening the control panel or cabinet.
Steps:
- Hard reset: Unplug the unit for at least 15 minutes. Press and hold the power button (if accessible) for 10 seconds while unplugged to discharge residual power. Reconnect and test.
- Check control panel connections: Remove the top cover/control panel. Inspect the ribbon cable or harness between the display PCB and main PCB. Reseat both ends carefully.
- Inspect for moisture: Look for signs of condensation or water ingress on the control board. If present, dry the area thoroughly and allow 24 hours before retesting.
- Board replacement: If E7 persists, the main control PCB or display PCB may be defective. Replace the main PCB first, as it commonly stores the EEPROM and logic.
- Professional help: Because this involves electronic diagnosis and possible firmware issues, Meaco-authorized service is recommended.
