Possible Causes
Empty water tank, Misaligned tank, Failed water level float or reed switch, Corroded level sensor contacts
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off and unplug the humidifier before removing the tank.
Steps:
- Refill tank: Remove the water tank, fill it to the indicated level with clean water, and reinstall it firmly.
- Check tank seating: Ensure the tank is fully pushed into place so that the tank detection switch or magnet aligns correctly.
- Inspect float: On models with a float inside the tank, verify that the float moves freely and is not stuck by scale or debris. Clean with mild vinegar solution if necessary.
- Sensor check: Examine the reed switch or mechanical switch in the base for corrosion or physical damage. Clean contacts gently if accessible.
- Replace parts: If the float or reed switch is defective, replace the water level float assembly or tank level reed switch with Meaco-approved parts.
