Possible Causes

Open or shorted temperature NTC sensor, Sensor dislodged from air path, Damaged sensor wiring, Faulty main PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the unit before inspection.

Steps:

  • Power reset: Unplug for 10 minutes and restart. If F2 persists, proceed.
  • Locate temperature sensor: Usually a small NTC probe near the air outlet or intake.
  • Inspect sensor: Ensure the probe is intact and positioned correctly in the airflow. Reposition if it has fallen away.
  • Check wiring: Follow the sensor leads to the PCB and verify the connector is secure and wires are not damaged.
  • Test and replace: Measure resistance of the NTC at room temperature and compare to Meaco specs. Replace with a new temperature NTC sensor if readings are abnormal.
  • PCB fault: If a good sensor still results in F2, the main control PCB may need replacement.
