Possible Causes

Failed ultrasonic transducer disc, Mineral scale buildup on transducer, Loose transducer wiring, Driver circuit failure on PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the humidifier and empty the water tank before working on the base.

Steps:

  • Clean the transducer: Locate the round metal ultrasonic transducer in the base. Gently clean mineral deposits with a cotton swab and a 1:1 vinegar-water solution. Do not scratch the surface.
  • Rinse and dry: Wipe with clean water and dry thoroughly before refilling the tank.
  • Check wiring: Inspect the wires from the transducer to the PCB for damage or loose connections. Reseat connectors if present.
  • Test operation: Reassemble, refill, and test. If F3 persists and there is still no mist, the transducer or driver circuit is likely faulty.
  • Replace transducer: Install a new Meaco ultrasonic transducer assembly following the model-specific procedure.
  • PCB replacement: If a new transducer does not fix F3, the ultrasonic driver circuit on the main PCB may be defective and require replacement.
