Possible Causes
Internal pump reservoir float switch activated, Blocked pump outlet hose, Failed condensate pump, Float switch stuck or faulty
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before handling water connections.
Steps:
- Check main water tank: Remove and empty the main collection tank. Clean any slime or debris and reinstall it correctly so it engages the tank switch.
- Inspect pump reservoir (if equipped): On Meaco pump models, access the internal pump tray. Check for standing water and debris around the pump float switch.
- Clear the drain hose: Disconnect the external drain hose from the pump outlet. Flush it with water to remove blockages and ensure it is not kinked or running uphill excessively.
- Free the float: Gently move the float up and down to ensure it is not stuck. Clean any scale or dirt that may cause sticking.
- Test pump: With the unit reassembled, pour a small amount of water into the pump tray (if accessible) and power on. Listen for the pump running and check that water is expelled.
- Replace components: If the pump does not run or the float switch does not change state, replace the condensate pump assembly or float switch as appropriate.
