Possible Causes
Cracked or misaligned water tank, Blocked internal drain channel, Loose hose on internal pump, Continuous drain hose not sealed or sloped correctly
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit and mop up any spilled water to prevent slipping.
Steps:
- Inspect water tank: Remove the tank and check for cracks, warping, or missing gaskets. Replace the water collection tank if damaged.
- Clean drain channel: Look inside the unit where water drips from the evaporator into the tank. Clear any slime or debris from the drain channel and outlet.
- Continuous drain setup: If using a hose, ensure it is firmly attached to the drain spigot, sloping downward, and not blocked. Seal connections as recommended by Meaco.
- Pump models: On pump-equipped units, inspect the pump tray and hoses for leaks or loose clamps. Tighten or replace hoses as needed.
- Test: After cleaning and reassembly, run the unit and monitor for leaks.
