Possible Causes
Room humidity extremely high, Humidity sensor exposed to direct mist, Faulty humidity sensor module, Sensor wiring issue
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Normal operation can usually continue; no internal access is required for basic checks.
- Check environment: Verify the unit is not placed directly under a steam source or in a confined, saturated space. Move it to a more open area.
- Sensor placement: Ensure the humidity sensor opening is not directly in the mist plume of a humidifier. Reposition the unit if necessary.
- Dry out sensor: Turn the unit off and allow it to sit in a dry room for several hours to let the sensor recover.
- Replace sensor: If "Hi" remains regardless of room conditions, replace the humidity sensor module with a Medisana-compatible part.
