How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before cleaning. Avoid inhaling cleaning chemicals.
- Disassemble for cleaning: Remove the tank, top cover, and any removable mist nozzles.
- Deep clean tank: Wash the tank with warm water and mild detergent. For heavy odor, soak with a solution of 1 part white vinegar to 3 parts water for 30 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.
- Clean base and outlet: Wipe the base reservoir, mist outlet, and surrounding plastic with a cloth dampened with vinegar solution. Do not pour water into electrical areas.
- Dry completely: Allow all parts to air dry before reassembly.
- Prevent recurrence: Use fresh water daily, empty and dry the tank when not in use, and clean the unit weekly.
