Possible Causes

Burnt ultrasonic transducer disc, Failed ultrasonic driver circuit on PCB, Heavy limescale on transducer surface, Loose wiring to transducer module

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the humidifier and empty the tank before opening the base.

  • Check water and seating: Confirm the tank is full and properly seated so water flows into the base reservoir.
  • Inspect transducer: Look at the metal disc at the bottom of the reservoir. If it is cracked, discolored, or heavily scaled, it may not vibrate correctly.
  • Descale: Soak the reservoir area around the disc with a 1:1 vinegar-water solution for 20–30 minutes, then gently wipe. Do not use sharp tools on the disc.
  • Wiring check: Open the base and ensure the transducer wires are firmly connected to the PCB.
  • Replace module: If there is still no mist, replace the ultrasonic transducer module or the entire base assembly with a Medisana-compatible part. If the new transducer does not work, the main PCB is likely defective and should be replaced.
