How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug before opening the control panel.
- Check control lock: Many Midea units have a child lock. Press and hold the Lock or a combination of buttons (refer to manual) for 3–5 seconds to toggle.
- Power reset: Unplug for 5 minutes, then plug back in to reset the microcontroller.
- Inspect panel: If still unresponsive, remove the bezel and inspect the keypad PCB for moisture or corrosion. Dry thoroughly.
- Replace keypad board: If specific buttons never work, replace the "Midea control panel / keypad PCB".
