Possible Causes
Failed fan motor, Open fan capacitor (for AC motors), Obstructed fan blades, Faulty fan relay or triac on main PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit. The compressor may be very hot; allow cooling.
- Check for obstructions: Ensure nothing is blocking the fan blades or blower wheel.
- Test motor spin: Spin the fan by hand. If stiff, the motor is likely bad.
- Inspect capacitor: If present, test or replace the fan capacitor with the same rating.
- Measure voltage: With caution and proper tools, a technician can check if the board is sending power to the fan. If power is present but the fan does not run, replace the motor.
- Replace fan motor: Install a new "Midea fan motor assembly" and reassemble.
