Possible Causes
Low or high line voltage, Faulty internal power supply on main PCB, Loose power cord connection, Damaged surge components on board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before inspection. Do not operate the dehumidifier on circuits with known voltage issues.
- Verify outlet voltage: Use a multimeter to confirm the outlet voltage is within the specified range (e.g., 110–125V for North America). If outside this range, contact an electrician.
- Check power cord: Inspect the cord for cuts, burns, or loose prongs. Replace the cord set if damaged.
- Inspect internal connections: Remove the rear or side panel to access where the cord connects to the main PCB or terminal block. Ensure screws and connectors are tight.
- Look for board damage: On the main PCB, inspect the power input area for burnt components or cracked solder joints. If found, replace the board.
- Replace main PCB: Persistent F2 with good line voltage usually indicates a failed power supply section on the board. Install a new "Midea main control PCB".
