Possible Causes
Actual room humidity above sensor range, Faulty humidity sensor reading maximum, Sensor covered with dust or moisture, Sensor wiring issue
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Note: HI can be normal in very damp spaces, but if it never changes, the sensor may be faulty.
- Ventilate the area: Improve room ventilation temporarily and run the unit for several hours to see if the reading changes.
- Clean sensor area: Access the humidity sensor near the intake grille or control panel. Gently clean dust with a soft brush or compressed air.
- Check for condensation: If the sensor is wet, allow it to dry completely with the unit unplugged.
- Inspect wiring: Ensure the sensor harness is intact and firmly connected to the main PCB.
- Replace humidity sensor: If HI remains constant regardless of conditions, install a new "Midea humidity sensor module".
