How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off and unplug the unit before repositioning.
Steps:
- Level the unit: Place the dehumidifier on a firm, level surface. Use a spirit level if available.
- Wait after transport: If the unit was recently moved or laid on its side, leave it upright and unplugged for at least 2–4 hours to allow compressor oil to settle.
- Check tilt sensor: Some Mitsubishi Electric models use a small tilt switch or mercury‑free sensor on the chassis. Ensure it is securely mounted and not damaged.
- Replace: If U1 persists even when level, the tilt sensor may be faulty and should be replaced.
