Possible Causes
Dead remote batteries, blocked IR receiver window, failed IR receiver on control PCB, remote not paired or wrong model
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: No internal work required for basic checks; unplug before opening the control panel.
Steps:
- Batteries: Replace the remote control batteries with fresh ones, observing polarity.
- Line of sight: Ensure there is a clear path between the remote and the IR receiver window on the unit.
- Test remote: Point the remote at a smartphone camera; you should see the IR LED flash on the screen when pressing buttons. If not, replace the remote control.
- Receiver: If the remote works but the unit does not respond, the IR receiver module on the display PCB may be faulty and should be replaced or the entire display PCB changed.
