Dehumidifier frequently turns on and off in short cycles.

Steps:

• Adjust setpoint: Set the desired humidity at least 5–10% below the current room humidity to reduce rapid cycling.
• Relocate unit: Avoid placing the dehumidifier directly under a supply vent or near a localized moisture source that can cause rapid sensor swings.
• Sensor check: If cycling is extreme (every 1–2 minutes), inspect and possibly replace the humidity sensor assembly.
• PCB issue: If a new sensor does not help, the main PCB control logic may be faulty and require replacement.
