Possible Causes
Defective evaporator NTC sensor, Sensor dislodged from evaporator coil, Damaged sensor wiring, Faulty main control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect the dehumidifier from power before opening any panels.
Steps:
- Unplug and wait: Leave the unit unplugged for 5–10 minutes to clear any temporary error.
- Remove front or side panel: Access the evaporator coil (cold coil behind the air filter). On many Orbegozo DH models, remove the front grille and filter, then the inner cover.
- Locate the evaporator NTC sensor: It is usually clipped or taped to the evaporator fins with two wires leading to the main PCB.
- Check sensor placement: Ensure the sensor is firmly attached to the coil surface. If it has fallen off, reattach using aluminum tape or the original clip so it makes good thermal contact.
- Inspect wiring: Look for cuts, crushed insulation, or loose connectors. Reseat the plug on the PCB.
- Measure resistance: With a multimeter, check the sensor resistance at room temperature. Compare with the ambient sensor; they are often similar values. An open or shorted reading indicates a bad sensor.
- Replace sensor if needed: Install a new Orbegozo-compatible evaporator NTC sensor, routing the wires away from sharp metal edges and moving fan blades.
- Test operation: Reassemble the covers, plug in, and run the unit. If E2 persists with a new sensor, the main PCB may be defective and require replacement.
