Possible Causes
Failed digital humidity sensor module, Loose or oxidized connector to main PCB, Broken sensor cable, Faulty main control board ADC circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before inspection.
Procedure:
- Reset attempt: Disconnect power for 10 minutes, then reconnect and check if E3 clears.
- Locate humidity sensor: On Orbegozo dehumidifiers, the RH sensor is usually near the air intake grille or behind the front panel, often a small plastic module with vents.
- Inspect sensor and wiring: Check for dust buildup, moisture, or corrosion. Ensure the connector is fully seated on the main PCB.
- Clean sensor area: Use dry compressed air or a soft brush to remove dust. Do not spray liquids directly on the sensor.
- Check cable continuity: If you have a multimeter, verify that each wire from the sensor to the PCB has continuity.
- Replace humidity sensor module: If E3 persists and wiring is intact, install a new Orbegozo-compatible humidity sensor module for your model.
- PCB diagnosis: If a new sensor does not resolve E3, the main control board may be defective and should be replaced by a qualified technician.
