Possible Causes
Loose display cable, Damaged communication harness, Oxidized connectors, Failed display PCB or main control PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect from mains before opening the housing.
Steps:
- Power reset: Unplug for 5–10 minutes, then reconnect. If E6 returns immediately, proceed.
- Access control panel: Remove the top/front cover to expose the user interface (display) board and its cable to the main PCB.
- Check ribbon or wire harness: Ensure the connector is fully seated at both the display board and main board. Look for bent pins or corrosion.
- Inspect cable: Check for cuts, pinch points, or signs of overheating. Replace the harness if damaged.
- Clean connectors: Use electronic contact cleaner and allow to dry before reconnecting.
- Board substitution: If wiring is intact and E6 persists, either the display PCB or main PCB is faulty. Replace the display PCB first (usually cheaper), then the main PCB if needed.
