Possible Causes

Blocked fan wheel, Failed fan motor, Loose fan motor connector, Faulty fan driver circuit on main PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the unit. Beware of sharp metal edges around the fan housing.

Steps:

  • Check for obstructions: Remove the air filter and visually inspect the fan wheel (blower). Remove any plastic, debris, or ice blocking rotation.
  • Spin test: Gently spin the fan by hand. It should rotate freely without grinding noises. If stiff or noisy, the motor bearings may be failing.
  • Access fan motor: Remove the rear or side panel to expose the fan motor assembly.
  • Inspect wiring: Ensure the fan motor plug is firmly connected to the main PCB. Look for burnt or loose terminals.
  • Test motor (if you have a multimeter): Measure resistance across motor windings. An open circuit indicates a failed motor.
  • Replace fan motor: If the motor is seized or electrically open, install a new Orbegozo-compatible fan motor assembly, transferring the fan wheel if necessary.
  • PCB issue: If a known-good motor does not run and E7 persists, the fan driver on the main PCB may be defective and require board replacement.
