Humidifier emits unpleasant or moldy odor during operation

Safety: Unplug the humidifier and empty all water.

Steps:

• Deep clean tank: Wash the tank with warm water and mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly.
• Disinfect: Fill the tank with a solution of 1 part white vinegar to 3 parts water, let sit 20–30 minutes, then rinse.
• Clean base: Wipe the base reservoir and all accessible surfaces with vinegar solution, then with clean water.
• Dry completely: Allow all parts to air dry before reassembly.
• Regular maintenance: Change water daily and clean weekly to prevent odors.
